Trending in popular trend forecasting services such as WGSN, Denimhead, and StyleSight (StyleSight has recently joined WGSN under one group), chambray and denim are going to be popular fabrications for Resort 2015 and Spring/Summer 2015. However, South Korea seems to be ahead of the game as we are seeing this trend now! Although the current fabrications are more heavyweight than what would normally be worn in hot weather, Alex Finch has spotted chambray and denim pieces that are shown below. Next spring/summer, watch this trend ease into lighter weight options.

Here are SeoulSync’s Korean fashion picks of the week:

Lighter than your common denim jacket, this denim jacket is an easy coverup for breezy weather.

100% cotton chambray tops are breathable pieces for the warmer weather. Check out the raw hem on this garment—maybe recycle an old chambray shirting, and crop it!

Fleece jacket? I think not! This one is made out of a medium-weight chambray.

Pinafores have been trending since last year, and—if you understand the fashion industry—trends transform throughout time. Denim pinafores fit the chambray/denim trend forecast perfectly.

On the topic of pinafores, take a look at this more mature, modified version.

This Seoulite sports a denim/chambray tunic.

Don’t forget the staple denim shorts!
